LatinProspects was founded by Cristian Ruiz, an international scout and Argentine coach with experience across Europe and South America, where he has worked with teams and participated in high-level tournaments around the world.

The platform was created with a clear purpose: to provide coaches, clubs, schools, and universities with reliable, professional insights to support their recruiting processes.

Throughout his career, Cristian has coached and competed against top prospects who have gone on to play at the highest levels of the game, including the NBA, NCAA, ACB, and EuroLeague. This firsthand experience forms the foundation of the evaluation criteria applied to every player featured on the platform.

LatinProspects is strengthened by a team of experienced professionals. Gerard Darnés, a recognized European player agent and former ACB player, collaborates in tracking and supporting Latin American prospects transitioning to Europe. The team also includes Juan Cruz Narvarte, currently assistant coach at Trotamundos (Venezuela’s professional league), and Pablo Girotti, assistant coach at Quilmes de Mar del Plata in Argentina’s Liga Argentina.

All information published on LatinProspects is primarily based on live, in-person scouting, ensuring that most players in the rankings are evaluated firsthand. This approach is complemented by a strong network of trusted contacts and local experts in each country, allowing us to gather deeper, more contextual insights beyond purely technical performance.
