Latin Prospects continues to expand its coverage of the top young talent across the region, and this time the spotlight falls on Argentina. Five new names have been added to the 2011 class ranking, all coming from competitive youth programs throughout the country.
Pedro Amadei & Juan Cruz Panero — Instituto (Córdoba)
Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba is one of Argentina’s most respected basketball programs, with a long history of developing players who go on to compete at the highest levels. Amadei and Panero are two emerging talents from the club’s youth system who have caught the attention of scouts with their performances in regional competition.
Manuel Gómez (PG) — Obras Sanitarias
Obras Sanitarias is a powerhouse in Argentine basketball, known for producing elite talent through its academy. Gómez, a point guard, is the latest prospect to come out of the Buenos Aires-based program, showing the court vision and decision-making ability that the position demands at a young age.
Facundo Requejo — Atlético Rafaela
Atlético de Rafaela has been building momentum in Argentine basketball, recently qualifying for the Liga Federal. Requejo represents the next wave of talent coming out of the Santa Fe province club, which continues to prove itself as a serious player development hub.
Santiago Rossini — Náutico (Rosario)
Náutico Avellaneda, based in Rosario, has made strides in recent years with strong showings in Liga Federal competition and 3×3 events. Rossini adds to the club’s growing reputation as a source of young prospects in one of Argentina’s most basketball-passionate cities.
These five additions reflect Latin Prospects’ commitment to identifying talent early. As the 2011 class continues to develop, expect these names to become more familiar across the Latin American basketball landscape.
