Real Madrid have made a move for the future by securing the arrival of Brenno Harnbaker, “Brenninho,” one of the most promising players in South American youth basketball. Born in 2011, he is a 1.78 m point guard who will join the club’s under-16 (first-year cadet) team.
A gem from Palmeiras’ youth academy who later moved to Pinheiros, Harnbaker began playing at the age of 10 in 2021. By 2022, he had already become both metropolitan and state champion at the U-12 level—finishing as the top scorer in both tournaments. The following year, while also competing in U-13, he scored 52 points in just 25 minutes in a single game, a record across all youth categories in Brazil in 2023, and averaged 42.6 points per game.
